I've taken the plunge

That's right I've actually gone and done it !!

After the copious hours spent on lazy Sundays catching up with (drooling over ) all those lovely crafty blogs I thought I would give this blogging lark a go.

So where to start - My name is Nia and I am a crochet addict, about 6 years ago I became shamelessly hooked (sorry couldn't resist that pun) on this hobby and am now the proud owner of a lovely house complete with a spare bedroom which seems to be inexplicably filled with wool.

I began my woolly journey with amigurumi then moved onto my true love - crochet blankets. A love which is shared by my two beautiful fur babies Gorbash and Lunariun and tolerated by my lovely man.
My adorable quality control team.
This obsession of mine with blankets has meant that we have always got something warm to snuggly under on those cold and frequently rainy welsh winter evenings. This combined by my love of colour and some may say fearless colour combinations ( I prefer fearless to downright crazy) means that nothing matches in my living room.

Why stick with one colour when you can have them all ?
That being said I have learnt to restrain myself when making gifts for others and many a baby blanket has been made in white whilst gazing longingly at my bookcase full of coloured woolly goodness. Although my latest gift was of a more colourful nature and my current wip yet another baby blanket , I seem to be surrounded by bumps atm is managing to be colourful but simple at the same time - I think I shall describe it as striking. What do you think ?

This is my Eleanors Garden blanket and has been sent to a special little lady

My current WIP inspired by my carpenters wheel Cal Afghan

Right now I must be off to figure out how to plan a blog post for next time !
Until then happy crafting
